Bettina Hausmann helps professionals optimise their Communication and Leadership skills for improved results. She has twenty years’ experience advising high-level corporate and public clients, and longs training experience. Bettina is a qualified executive coach.

Professional background Bettina focuses full-time on executive training and coaching since 2012. She works closely with clients from a wide range of sectors, with her strongest credentials in public health and healthcare, global health and development, R&D, industry, technology and sustainability.

Bettina has developed and delivered training session for organisations and executives from many different sectors. Her list of present and past clients includes Abbott, Airbus, Alpro Soy, BMS, DHL/Deutsche Post, different patient associations (e.g. cancer, hepatitis, Crohn’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis), Hewlett-Packard, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, Hoffmann-La Roche, Lundbeck, Nikon, Roll-Back Malaria, the European Commission and Wrigley, among many others.

Training highlights include rehearsing with executives prior to BBC Hard Talk and similar flagship television programmes; coaching a national Minister prior to interviews; and simulating crisis situations with leadership teams of blue chip companies.

Bettina learned much of her trade at Hill and Knowlton Strategies, a leading Public Relations and Public Affairs consultancy where she worked from 2000 to 2012 and progressed quickly to a director position. Prior positions in Public Policy helped Bettina to work and communicate on complex subject matters, including speech writing. In the mid-90s, she worked as an independent consultant for the German Federal Chancellery. She also has in-house experience with the European Commission. In the late nineties, Bettina worked as a project manager for the European Journalism Centre in the Netherlands, where she organized journalists’ and newsroom management seminars and co-ordinated a network of Europe’s leading newspapers.

Education and qualifications Bettina studied Roman languages and Political Sciences in Cologne and Freiburg. She is a trained NLP practitioner and also graduated with a practitioner diploma from the London-based Academy of Executive Coaching. She holds a Systemic Team Coaching Certificate, from the Academy of Executive Coaching.

Personal Having lived in six countries and worked in Bilbao, Luxembourg, Bonn, Maastricht and Brussels, Bettina has a truly international profile and is today based in Brussels. A native German speaker, Bettina is also fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Dutch. She also speaks some Portuguese.
