About the course

Organizations are under increasing pressure to be “greener” and improve the environmental performance of operations. More and more organizations use the ISO 14001 environmental management systems standard to systematically address their care for the environment and show their improved performance. The ISO 14001 standard is also suited to integrate environmental aspects into an existing management system.

This certification program will provide the delegates to be as “Certified ISO 14001 and EMS Lead/Internal Auditor”.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, the delegates will be able to:

Day 2

Understanding of E.M.S. Requirements

  • Introduction to the international standards (ISO)
  • Investment in Environmental - Benefiting & ROI
  • Practical application of International Environmental requirements
  • Detailed explanation of requirements of ISO 14001
  • Overview of the aim, structure and uses of ISO 14001
  • International recognition and certification process

Day 3

E.M.S. Internal Auditor

  • Management systems and the need for audits
  • Establishing an internal environmental audit programme
  • Selection and training of internal auditors
  • Planning, preparing, performing and reporting internal environmental audits
  • Verifying corrective action
  • Dealing with difficult audit situations
  • Auditing for improvement

Day 4

E.M.S. Certified Lead Auditor

  • Historical perspective of the development of the standard

Day 5
