Biography

IMD Business School

Ina Toegel is Professor of Leadership and Organizational Change at IMD. Her teaching activities invoke experiential learning and focus on a range of topics – from leading self and leading high-performance teams, to emotion management and leading organizational change.

Ina’s research focuses on the areas of team dynamics, organizational change management, and top management teams during corporate renewal. She is a member of the Academy of Management and of the Strategic Management Society, and she regularly presents at the Organizational Development and Change division during the Academy of Management’s Annual Meeting.

Among the industries that Ina Toegel has explored are the creative industries, infrastructure, hospitality, luxury, and additive manufacturing. Her program directing and teaching experience includes leadership programs with companies such as Pirelli, UEFA, Bayer, Electrolux, ASSA ABLOY, T-Systems, Carlsberg, JTI, Hydro, Tenaris, etc. Before beginning her PhD, Ina was part of the World Bank and worked on projects for structuring public-private partnerships in the transport, energy, and waste sectors of Southeast Europe.

Prior to joining IMD, Ina Toegel has taught at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne.

She holds a PhD in Management from INSEAD (France), an MSc in Management Research from Saȉd Business School, Oxford University (UK), and a BA degree in economics from Columbia University (USA).
