Weatherhead School of Management

Glenda Oskar, PhD, joined the faculty of the Weatherhead School of Management as a visiting assistant professor of economics in 2017.

Oskar received her BA in mathematics-economics from Wesleyan University, her MS in mathematics from New York University, and her PhD in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Her fields of interest are microeconomics and economic history. Her current research topics include nineteenth century corporate finance practices, the U.S. postal savings system, financial sophistication, and political campaign advertisements.

Oskar will be teaching Principles of Microeconomics and Intermediate Microeconomics. She has previously taught courses on the economics of law and regulation and the economics of uncertainty. She has received several teaching awards throughout her career.
