Veronica A. Barber, EdD is a Culture Consultant and EQ Coach with Drive. Veronica’s executive consulting and coaching practice began in 2013 and she has since then helped numerous leaders and organizations to improve their performance, with guided transformative approaches.

Veronica’s most recent organizational role was as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for a privately held national Assisted Living company with $2.5B in assets, $500M+ annual revenue, 60+ communities in 8 states with more than 6,500 employees. During her tenure, eNPS scores increased from 34 to 50, retention rates increased from 48% to 72% and more than 700 former associates returned upon learning of the company’s cultural transformation. Earlier in her career, she functioned as the Chief Operating Officer for a non-profit faith-based senior living organization with $65M+ annual revenue, 4 communities and 1,200+ employees. During her tenure, turnover decreased from 28% to 7%, and she led the development of the first-in-the-nation community Green House® homes, achieving greater quality outcomes and satisfaction results for employees, residents, and family members.

She is a certified DISC assessor/trainer, as well as a certified EQ practitioner/assessor, and coach. In addition to being formerly licensed as nursing home administrator, she is a national speaker, a lecturer at Bentley University (and coordinates the HR concentration and minor programs) and has a Doctorate in Executive Leadership with a research focus on Organizational Change. She also has a Master’s in Health Services Management and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics.

Veronica lives in the Boston area with her husband and two daughters. When she’s not supporting leaders, she can be found exploring the benefits of meditation and journaling.
