DePaul University

Tanu Malik is an Associate Professor at the School of Computing. She directs the DICE Lab at DePaul. She is part of the DePaul Center for Data Science and the Data Systems and Optimization lab. Her research interests span scientific data management, and include topics such as data provenance management, data virtualization techniques for reproducible science, caching, optimization and approximations in large data. Tanu has actively collaborated with astronomers, geoscientists, and urban scientists across several institutions. Her research is funded by the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, and the Sloan Foundation. She has a doctorate from the Johns Hopkins University, and a bachelors from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
