Sowmya Viswanathan

Healthcare executive with over 15 years’ experience in leadership roles as Chief ACO Officer for Dartmouth Hitchcock Health, Physician-in-Chief, Physician Quality Officer and Regional Chief with large regional health systems and academic medical centre.

As the Chief ACO Officer, she had oversight of the clinical operations services in a value-based model at Dartmouth Hitchcock Health System. She also led Network integration, quality performance measures, Care Continuum and value-based operational plans for Dartmouth’s affiliated hospitals. Dr. Viswanathan also had oversight over medical management of Employee wellness.

Additionally, she has held several esteemed positions including:

• Board member at Health Care Transformation Task Force • Board member at Benevera Health • Vice-Chair of Massachusetts Hospital Association’s (MHA) • Physician Quality Officer at UMass Memorial Health Center • Medical Director at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Network Health

In addition to continuing her clinical practice as a Primary Care physician, Dr. Viswanathan has earned a Master of Health Care Management degree from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts.
