Sonia Singh

Dr. Sonia is currently Professor in the Decision Sciences Area at IIM Lucknow. She has been working at IIM Lucknow since May 2005 where she teaches Optimization, Statistics and Managerial Mathematics to Post Graduate, Doctoral and Executive students. She has also visited NTU, Singapore as Visiting Associate Professor for one year during 2017-18. She obtained her doctoral degree from IIT Delhi and master’s degree from IIT Roorkee. Her research interests include Transportation & Assignment Problems, Network Flow Problems and Multi Criteria Decision Making Problems among others.

Research

Combinatorial Optimization, Network Flow Problems, Transportation and Assignment Problems, Bottleneck Optimization, Multi-Choice Programming, Multi-Objective Decision Making and Allocation Problems.

• Received the B.G. Raghavendra Memorial Award (best student paper award) at an International Conference held in Kolkata in the year 2001.
• Awarded with CL Chandna Award for best PhD student for the year 2000.
• Qualified CSIR-UGC-NET in the year 2000.
• Awarded with Ashesh Memorial Medal and G Pande Medal for her performance in M.Sc. at IIT Roorkee in the year 1999.
• Qualified GATE in the year 1999.
