Sonia Petecka

My mission is to help people connect to who they authentically are and start creating a life that feels abundant and fulfilling. According to my Human Design, I need my energy to move outward and provoke talent, leadership, purpose and spirit in others. My passion is working with people one on one and customizing the tools I use to each person's unique needs.

I was born in and grew up in Poland and moved to the US when I was 16. Early childhood experiences made me sensitive to the suffering of others and made me want to help people and make the world a better place.

Initially, trying to please my family, I decided to become a medical doctor. I went to Tufts University, I was premed and studied Biochemistry and French Literature and spent a wonderful yet challenging year abroad in Paris. While working doing immunology research after college I realized medicine and research were not my passions. Listening to my intuition and what felt exciting to me, I decided to move to New York City. Tired of barely making ends meet on a researcher's salary, I decided to go to business school. I went to NYU Stern and graduated with an MBA focusing on strategy, global business and finance.

During my time in business school when I was very stressed out, insecure and struggling with my personal relationships, I discovered and started practicing Kundalini Yoga and Meditation.

Throughout the years I've been building my approach through participating in coaching programs, attending personal growth seminars, conferences, and reading many books on success and healing, I also worked with different coaches like Byron Katie, Gabby Bernstein, Tara Marino, Lacy Philips and Mama Gena. I became a certified Kundalini Yoga and Meditation teacher in 2016 and have been teaching since.

While working in my corporate tech sales job after business school, I decided to help others grow, heal and live the lives they dreamed of through my coaching practice. In 2020 I left my corporate career to focus solely on my coaching practice.

I discovered Human Design in 2018 through Lacy Philips and Jenna Zoe and it immediately resonated with me. I was born the same year as Human Design - in 1987. I am a Manifesting Generator, which is one of the 5 energy types in Human Design. HD has helped me to understand why I am the way I am and accept myself more fully. I realized that there is nothing wrong with me and I am perfect. HD has also helped me to release conditioning (what the world has told me I need to be in order to be successful and loved) and allow myself to be as I authentically am. I have discovered a new level of worthiness, self-love and abundance. I became a Jenna Zoe certified Human Design reader in 2019 and I incorporate this amazing framework in my coaching to empower people step into their gifts and talents.

In 2020 I realized my lifelong dream of living in a warm climate, near the beach and moved to Miami, Florida.

In 2021, I discovered PSYCH-K®, which has honestly been the most fun way to shift subconscious beliefs and create a more expansive life experience. I quickly started using it myself and offering it to my clients.
