Biography
Zicklin School of Business
Shawn Grant is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College (CUNY). She has taught law and political science courses at several institutions, including at Zicklin. At Zicklin, Professor Grant has taught business law courses at the undergraduate and graduate level and developed and teaches the Women, Law, and Policy capstone course.
Professor Grant’s scholarship focuses on administrative agencies and identifying and exploring the regulatory and legislative gaps that support the perpetuation of systemic and institutional inequities and disparate outcomes in the areas of disability, gender and race. She has also written on the topics of student engagement and pedagogy.
Professor Grant graduated Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude from Brooklyn College where she earned a B.A. in Political Science. She earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Prior to beginning her career in academia, she practiced corporate and securities law.
