Seth Gilbert received the PhD degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is a dean's chair associate professor with the National University of Singapore, Singapore. His research focuses on distributed algorithms, particularly issues of robustness and scalability, in whatever context they may arise!
