Scott Simpson, an architect, author, and educator, has served as a trustee of New England College for the past eight years. He is the former president & CEO of The Stubbins Associates in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and has also served on the national board of directors of the American Institute of Architects in Washington, DC, and the Design Futures Council in Atlanta. Mr. Simpson has published more than 180 articles on issues of innovation in the design & construction industry and authored three books: How Firms Succeed, The Next Architect - A New Twist on the Future of Design, and Lessons from the Future. He is a frequent speaker at national conferences and symposia and has lectured at a number of design schools across the country, including Yale and Harvard, where he is an emeritus member of the Alumni Council.

Scott’s expertise has been put to good use at NEC, particularly for the new Lyons Center, Putnam Center, and Athletic Center projects. He also serves on the Facilities Committee and the Audit Committee. He lives in Carlisle, Massachusetts with his wife Nancy Kuziemski, a retired school psychologist.
