Biography

Prof. Ruth Stock-Homburg, Ph.D., Ph.D. is chair of the department Marketing and Human Resources Management at the Technische Universität Darmstadt since 2006. She led the Faculty of Business Administration as its dean until 2016. Stock-Homburg studied business and management as well as psychology. After her Ph.D. at the Universität Mannheim Stock-Homburg habilitated herself in 2003. With the initiation of her work at the Universität Hohenheim she was Germans youngest Professor in the field of business administration. 2018 Stock-Homburg did her second Ph.D. in Psychology on the topic of Human-Robot Interaction in service Encounters.

Her research interests include User Innovation, Future of Work, Leadership and Human-Robot Interaction. For her research achievements and publications in prestigious journals such as Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS) and Journal of Product Innovation Management (JPIM) she was honored as the most productive German female professor in the field of business administration in 2005, 2009 and 2014. Furthermore, Stock-Homburg is author of numerous books and received the best paper award of the American Marketing Association several times.

Her longstanding experiences in the different research fields based on the lead of numerous national and international research funding and cooperation projects, research stays at the MIT Sloan School of Management and McCombs Business School, University of Texas, periodically reviewing activities for prestigious journals in the field of marketing and human resource management and her position as associate editor of the Journal of Product Innovation Management.
