Ramses Maldonado has more than 21 years of hands-on experience as a senior Project manager and Program manager responsible for business case, planning, design and implementation of large scale technology projects for Fortune 500 companies in the United States and globally. He currently serves as the President for the South Florida Project Management Institute Board of Directors and has serves as director for more than 7 years.
Maldonado is the founder and President of Wireless & IP Technologies (WIT), a company focused on the design and implementation of Internet of Things and machine-to-machine technologies and integrating them with strategic IP technologies, such as IP surveillance and Video analytics.
Maldonado has been directly responsible for managing budgets, scope, timelines and multi-functional, multicultural teams, both virtually and collocated.
Prior to starting his business, Maldonado was a Senior Project manager at Verizon Business. For 15 years, he worked in multiple project management roles at the company as a senior project manager responsible for software development projects, speech recognition initiative and enterprise wide Voice Over IP technologies for both call centers and office buildings, in a variety of industry sectors including private/public companies, Government and Healthcare. Maldonado was also involved in the creation and implementation of the Strategic Program Management Office (SPMO) that oversaw large scale project portfolios at Verizon.
Today, he works empowering businesses with the tools to remotely monitor, control and manage the performance of their operational assets through a web-based portal solutions.
Maldonado earned a master’s in Project Management from the George Washington School of Business and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. He also earned a master certificates in e-commerce and e-business from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He is a certified PMP (Project Management Professional), with formal training in ITILv3 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and PRINCE2, Agile Project Management.
