Peggy Summerhays

Peggy Summerhays has more than 30 years of experience in Information Technology and enterprise-wide business initiatives. She has held positions in software development, IT management and project management in industries that include utilities, education, software, retail and telecommunications. She has managed teams through strategic initiatives, process improvements, IT implementations and corporate change management with an emphasis on reducing cost and continuous improvement.

Peggy has a passion for helping people grow in their careers through education, personal development and professional development. She has been developing and teaching project management and business classes for 15 years, six of those at the University of Washington Continuum College in the project management program. Her goal in team management is to bring out the best in her subordinates in order to promote them in their careers.

Ms. Summerhays is a Certified Project Management Professional and Certified Scrum Master. She has six years in leadership positions for Puget Sound PMI, including the support of PMP preparation courses, educational seminars, programs and conferences. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA from Northwest University. She has sat on advisory boards for the UW Project Management Program and Northwest University’s MBA program.
