Patrick Hartley

Patrick Hartley is the lead instructor for an investment management course at UNC Kenan-Flagler that focuses on alternative investment strategies, including private equity, hedge funds and real assets. The class is structured to help prepare students for careers in asset management, private wealth management, non-profit investment management, institutional investment consulting and investment banking.

He also works at one of the world’s leading financial services firms. As a member of one of the global firm’s leading wealth management teams, Mr. Hartley works with both institutional and private clients as an investment consultant and financial advisor. In his current roles as an investment consultant and financial advisor, he assists clients by developing asset allocation strategies, selecting passive and active asset managers, evaluating portfolio performance and providing frequent updates on global capital markets. He is actively engaged across all asset classes, but has extensive expertise in both fixed income and alternative investment strategies.

Mr. Hartley is president of the board of directors of the Kenan-Flagler Business School Foundation.

He previously served two terms as a member of the board of directors of the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill and as co-chair of the recent capital campaign for expansion.
