UW Professional & Continuing Education

Nir Froimovici moved to New York City from Israel to earn his bachelor’s degrees in computer science and economics from Columbia University. He spent one of his university years in Paris, France, completing French studies at the Sorbonne. Shortly after graduation, he joined Microsoft, where he is currently a Principal Product Manager in the Windows division.

Nir owned and drove the strategy for many products in the past 16 years with Microsoft, but he's been a manager and a mentor throughout most of his tenure. He pursues his passion for mentorship outside Microsoft as a computer science teacher in a local Seattle high school and as an industry mentor in several non-profit organizations that promote STEM and CS for women, BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and persons with disabilities.
