Nicole Gunasekera, MD, MBA is a Chief Resident in the Harvard Combined Dermatology Training Program who is passionate about clinical service innovation, access to care, and equity in dermatology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University where she majored in Public Health & Health Disparities. After graduation, she worked as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, where she confirmed both her passion for addressing high impact challenges and her interest in the healthcare field. She completed the combined MD/MBA program at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School. During dermatology residency, her research has focused on understanding appointment non-attendance and developing innovative strategies to improve appointment utilization in outpatient dermatology.
