Biography
Dr Mohamed Nawab Mohamed Osman is the Head of Counter-Terrorism and Dangerous Organisation for Facebook, APAC. He also heads Facebook’s global programs in countering violent extremism. Dr Nawab was previously an academic and held positions at the Australian National University, Nanyang Technological University and University of California-Berkeley. He has published widely on issues of terrorism, political violence, religious extremism and Islamophobia. He was widely quoted in various media outlets including CNN, BBC, Foreign Affairs and Times. Dr Nawab sits in the board of the Civilian Association of Singapore and a member of the Fulbright Association.
