Nadine Dechausay

Biography

Nadine is a former Senior Research Associate and Director of the Center for Applied Behavioral Science at MDRC in New York City. In that capacity, she led national projects that integrated design, behavioral economics, and rigorous testing to improve service delivery in government programs, authored several studies, and developed trainings to help teams use behavioral science in communications.

Nadine came to Texas in 2018 to lead grantmaking from the $400 million W.W. Caruth Jr. Fund at Communities Foundation of Texas. As a grantmaker, she champions equity, access, evidence, and participatory approaches. She recently transitioned to the role of Director of Learning & Insights where she is focused on building a strategic learning function and supporting the nonprofit community in using data and design to improve outcomes.

Nadine completed her undergraduate education at Brown University. She earned J.D. and M.A. degrees in Criminology, and Human Development & Applied Psychology from the University of Toronto.
