Biography
Professor Mohammed Dulaimi is the leader of the "Accelerating Innovation in Construction" research group (LBU) and the co-coordinator of the CIB Task Group on Accelerating Innovation in Construction. He has worked in universities in the UK, Singapore and UAE leading the development and delivery of teaching and research in construction management and project management.
Mohammed has spent more than 35 years in industry and academia. He has featured extensively in internationally refereed journals and conferences with over 100 papers published worldwide; addressing issues related to management of innovation, project management, sustainable development and construction procurement.
Since joining Leeds Beckett University, Mohammed has formed a new research group focused on developing new knowledge that would support the effort of accelerating the pace of innovation to meet the challenges of the “Smart” agenda.
Mohammed is a chartered construction manager (CIOB) and a visiting professor at the University of Glasgow Caledonian. Mohammed advised and led the research and innovation effort at Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce (UAE). He has provided consultancies and training in project management and construction management in the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and the UAE.
Mohammed is a member of the editorial board of several leading international journals as well as being a reviewer for several refereed journals. He has a significant international profile delivering presentations, keynote speeches and seminars around the globe.

Research Interests
Mohammed has led and participated in several funded research projects that focused on developing new knowledge of innovation dynamics at individual, team and corporate levels. His research investigated the attitude of construction industry towards innovation, the impact of procurement strategies on innovation, alignment of motivation of the supply chain to support innovation at project level with greater emphasis on understanding the role of project managers in influencing project performance and innovation.
