Michael Moynihan is the founder and CEO of Onehot.ai, a New York-based firm that develops artificial intelligence apps that make decisions based on expected value. Prior to Onehot.ai, Moynihan was the chief economist and senior vice president of the New York City Economic Development Corporation where he advised the Mayor of New York City and senior officials on economic and real estate issues. He managed a staff of economists conducting economic impact analysis of the City’s $8 billion capital budget. He testified before the NY City Council on economics and spoke to the press about the economy. While at the NYC EDC he launched a suite of publications including Tech Trends, Monthly Economic Snapshot and Industry Trends and Insights. Moynihan also pioneered the use of Big Data in economic analysis and founded the Thinking Ahead series of roundtables with thought leaders including Dr. Eric Schmidt of Google. Prior to the NYCEDC, Moynihan worked in Washington, D.C. as director of the Clean Energy Program and chair of the Electricity 2.0 Initiative where he founded and built the leading Washington DC program on clean energy and technology. Michael also worked for the US Department of the Treasury and taught at the NYU Wagner School of Public Policy. Michael currently teaches Real Estate Economics and Market Analysis for the MSRE program at the Fordham University Real Estate Institute. Moynihan received his Ph.D. in Public Affairs at the Princeton University Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and a Master in Public Affairs with a concentration in business technology and economics at the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government. He received a B.A. in History from Columbia University. Michael has published numerous books, academic papers and articles.
