Biography

Mary J. Waller is professor of Organizational Behavior in the Schulich School of Business at York University. Her work experience in the petroleum, aviation and software industries, which often involved collaborating in teams under crisis situations, helped motivate her 20-year research program in crisis team dynamics. Dr. Waller sits on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Management as well as on the editorial boards of several academic journals, and is a recipient of the MBA Teaching Excellence Award at Schulich. She has served as a consultant for several organizations including Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), BP, Children’s National Medical Center (US), Dominion Energy, the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission and NASA.
