Marwan Daya

Marwan’s expertise in leadership and strategy has been built over a 25-year career in the IT/Telecom-Industry. He has been working in many multinational companies in executive roles and developed proficiency in Engineering, Sales and General Management. Marwan has established companies in the IT/Telecom-business and managed them to grow profitable in a short period of time. He has a proven track record in crisis management and profitable recovery in markets affected by war and instability. Finally, Marwan has also experience in successful team building, process building and key account management.

Marwan has worked in several executive roles in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, starting his career in 1993, as Assistant to the General Manager of ‘Oger Liban’, an engineering company with branches in many countries including France, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. His management and strategy experiences developed considerably in 1994 when he joined a leading Telecom company in Lebanon, ‘Netico’. As Project Manager, he managed a big Telecom project to rehabilitate the ruined telephone network after the civil war in Lebanon. With more than 150 employees and workers reporting to him, Marwan succeeded in managing the project in its technical and managerial requirements. In 1996, Marwan joined ‘Tellabs International’, a multinational telecom manufacturing company with HQ in the US. Marwan handled its operations in Saudi Arabia as Country Manager and established the company in the marketplace. Furthermore, he employed pioneering international processes of account management by preparing project feasibility plans and strategic marketing plans. In 2004, Marwan established ‘BTC Networks’ in Lebanon and Syria. ‘BTC Networks’ is a big player in the regional telecom market with HQ in Saudi Arabia. Marwan established the companies, formulated processes, built the teams, launched marketing campaigns and developed rapidly profitable multi-million dollar business.

Marwan holds a Masters Degree in Engineering Management, a BE in Computer and Communication Engineering and a MBA, all from the ‘American University of Beirut’ (AUB). Level 1 CFA, from the CFA Institute, Charlottesville, VA-USA. Marwan is PMP certified.

Marwan is Lebanese, living in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia for which he holds a residency permit. He conducts his workshops in Arabic and English.
