Maeve is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Management and Marketing at the Cork University Business School (CUBS), University College Cork. Prior to joining CUBS in August 2019, Maeve was an adjunct lecturer and researcher at the Departments of Work & Employment Studies and Management & Marketing at the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick. She is a former Kemmy Business School Scholar having completed her PhD in Human Resource Management in 2018. Previously, Maeve held senior management and consultancy roles in both public and private sector organisations in Ireland, the UK and at the European Commission in Brussels.

Maeve lectures and researches in a variety of Human Resource Management, organisational behavior, leadership and management-related subjects at CUBS. Her research interests include the effective management of older workers, multi-level implications of part-time and precarious employment, diversity and inclusion in organisations and managing organisational change and conflict. In addition to providing policy briefings for think-tanks, she has presented her research at several national and international conferences and her research has been nominated for a number of awards. Maeve is a registered psychometric tester with the British Psychological Society, a fluent French speaker and is a peer reviewer for the Human Resource Management Journal and the Irish Journal of Management.
