Biography
UCL School of Management
Lorenzo works as an executive coach and lecturer in organisational behaviour in the UCL MBA programme. He has several years’ experience as a coach and lecturer, teaching leadership, coaching, organisational behaviour and sustainability. Before joining UCL, Lorenzo worked as senior lecturer and deputy MBA director at the University of Portsmouth, where he won the “Inspiring Teacher Award” in 2018/19.
Lorenzo holds a BA and MA in philosophy from the University of Florence and a PhD in organisational behaviour from Henley Business School. His interest lies in understanding theories and principles of humanistic dialogue within the context of cross-organisational collaboration. As a researcher, he has collaborated with important institutions such as the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). He has shared his findings at the annual UNGC international conference in New York and other international conferences in Europe and the Middle-East. His work is published in international and peer-reviewed journals.
Besides his academic hat, Lorenzo works as certified life and executive coach, and he collaborates as an executive education associate at Henley Centre for Coaching. He has also been using his team coaching and facilitation skills in the private sector as an associate consultant at Iken Associates. He occasionally designs and facilitates stakeholder engagement activities, including outdoor group sessions. Some of the clients he has worked with include Carlsberg, the University of Arts of London (UAL), Heathrow Airport and the Commonwealth.
In his spare time, Lorenzo is a pro-bono coach for the social enterprise Three Shepard in London, is an amateur jazz/gipsy jazz saxophone player, a motivated chess player and a “wanna-be” explorer with his tent and T-25 VW campervan.
