Hult International Business School

Larry Louie is a Global Professor teaching courses in finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship. Larry joined the Hult San Francisco campus at its opening in 2010 as a professor, served as Associate Dean in 2011-12, then dean from 2012-2015). Larry served on the multi-disciplinary MBA Redesign Committee that substantially revamped the Hult’s MBA program, leading to the AMBA 2014 Innovation Award.

Prior Hult, Larry served as Professor and Assistant Dean at the University of San Francisco for 9 years, where he was recognized with multiple awards for teaching and student advocacy. He worked with the Graduate Program Committee, which revised the MBA program, launched the MBA Intensive (1 year) program and the Masters in Global Entrepreneurial Management.

Prior to teaching, Larry worked for 25 years in venture backed startups (including COO for Alibris), commercial real estate (CFO for Norris, Beggs and Simpson), Bain & Company (Senior Consultant), and KPMG (Supervising Senior Accountant and initial startup team for the Small Business Advisory Practice). Larry earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (fellowship recipient) and a B.S. in finance and accounting from the University of California at Berkeley (Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude). Larry has served the community as a board member of La Cocina (nationally recognized food incubator for low income women entrepreneurs) and volleyball coach for grades 4-8 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary School (finalist for PCA National Coaching award).
