Vlerick Business School Executive Education

Kerstin Fehre is a Professor of Strategy at Vlerick Business School (Belgium). Before joining Vlerick, she was an Assistant Professor for Strategic Management at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany). She received her Ph.D. from RWTH Aachen University, her master’s degree from Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL) and was a visiting scholar at ESCP-EAP Paris. Her primary interests are causes and consequences of strategic management decisions. She conducts research in the areas of strategic leadership, corporate governance, executive characteristics, managerial discretion, diversity, and CSR. Her special expertise is in computer-aided text analysis (CATA). She follows an application-oriented research focus associated with systematic knowledge transfer to society, business and politics. Therefore, her research results attract wide media attention including the Economist online and Handelsblatt. She is interested in further developing the research community and is a member of the scientific advisory board of HHL. She earned own practical strategic leadership expertise at M&A departments of Goldman Sachs, Bankhaus Metzler and Edmond de Rothschild.
