Jenny Tooth

Jenny is the CEO of the UK Business Angels Association, the trade body for angel and early stage investing. She is also co-founder and Director of Angel Capital Group, which provides services designed to improve investment readiness and access to early stage investment for small firms, and creates opportunities for the development of new early stage co-investment funds. Jenny has 20 years of experience supporting business growth and access to finance both in the UK and Europe.

Jenny is co-founder and Director of Angel Capital Group. Previously Jenny was also a director of London Business Angels, a role from which she stepped down in July 2012. Jenny has 20 years experience supporting business growth and access to finance both in the UK and Europe and ran her own consultancy business, advising on finance and innovation. She spent nine years in Brussels between 1990 and 1999, working closely with the European Commission.

Jenny has had extensive experience in the world of angel investing and has been involved with London Business Angels since 2000, taking on the full time role of Business Development Director of GLE Growth Capital between 2006-2009 focusing on investment readiness, high growth coaching and access to investment for SMEs, including developing new cross-border investment opportunities.

As a Director of London Business Angels under the Angel Capital Group, Jenny worked on sourcing strong deal flow through a range of channels across the UK and building the investor community, organising the professional development of investors through the LBA Ready 2 Invest Workshops and Investor Club Nights. As Managing Director of Angel Capital Innovations, she is currently involved in three projects focusing on investment in ICT, Mobile services and nano-technologies, enabling access to a range of innovating business propositions across the UK.

Jenny has also provided strategic and business development support to the British Business Angels Association since 2004. She was appointed CEO of the rebranded and relaunched trade body, the UK Business Angels Association in July 2012.

She has a first degree in French and Italian and an MSc in Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science.
