Janine Black Arkles, PhD, MBA, BS, BA is Assistant Professor in Management at Kean University in Union, NJ. She teaches Strategy and International Management courses. While earning her Ph.D., Janine taught undergraduate courses at Villanova University in Villanova PA, Temple University in Philadelphia PA, and was a full time Lecturer at Pennsylvania State University in Abington PA.

Janine received her Ph.D. in Strategy with an emphasis on International Business from Temple University in Philadelphia PA. Her M.B.A. in International Business and Labor Relations is from the University of Pittsburgh PA, while her B.S. in Chemistry and B.A. in French Language, with a minor in Mathematics, are from Purdue University in West Lafayette IN.

Janine started her career in the corporate world, working for three foreign firms with North American headquarters in the U.S. She held technical, sales support, and supply chain management positions at chemical companies National Starch (ICI - Netherlands), Bayer (Germany), and Arkema (France).

She has served on numerous industry, technical, educational, civic, and editorial boards. She currently is the faculty advisor for Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society for Business, Management, and Administration. Janine reviews for several journals and annual conferences.

Janine has traveled to all 50 states in the U.S. and to 30 – 40 countries in Asia, Europe, and Central America and continues to add to the lengthy list.
