Biography

Graham is a Chartered Professional Engineer, registered in both the UK and Australia, a Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering Technology (UK). He has over 30 years of academic leadership experience in universities in the UK, Singapore and Australia.

His expertise is in research management.

He has extensive experience of professional engineering programme development, management and accreditation. He is an international expert on computer analysis and recognition of handwriting.

He is currently Technical Director at TUM Create, Singapore and an Adjunct Professor of Applied Computing at Griffith University, Queensland, Australia.

Previously from 2003 he help positions of Head of Division of Computing Systems at NTU, Programme Director for Computer Engineering Schemes at UNSW (Asia), Head of School of Science and Technology at UNE, Acting Dean of Graduate Studies at UNE and Visiting Professor at NTU.

He has extensive experience of international conference organisation having been invited to serve in various Chair positions of more than 10 major international conferences, workshops and colloquia and on the programme committees of over 60 international conferences.

His personal research is in the definition and real-time embedded implementation of image processing, computer vision and pattern recognition algorithms. He has authored / co-authored more than 200 publications and has an h-index of 24 according to Google Scholar.
