Dr Arcudi is currently working on a research project focusing on the European Gendarmerie Force and the Stability Police Units in peace support operations.

Dr Arcudi’s current research areas concentrate essentially on the European Gendarmerie Force, the gendarmerie-type forces, the Stability Police Units in peace support operations, ‘transitional policing’ in hostile and post-conflict environments, public order and safety in peace support operations, the EU Common Security and Defence Policy, civilian crisis management and police component in particular.

Previously, Dr Arcudi worked on research projects focused on the role and the use of the armed forces in internal security matters, and the convergences between the police forces and the armed forces on issues related to public order and safety.
