Biography

THNK School of Creative Leadership

Director of Regional Sales at ABN AMRO Bank N.V.

My experience and deep interests:

I am based in: Amsterdam

I was referred to THNK by Arjan Van Os.

Life to me is one of those endless gift boxes, one of magic gumballs.

A Dutch child of Surinamese parents, I am one of the last of many grandchildren on both my mother’s and father’s side. Born in this warm and large family, I have been surrounded by love and advice from all my parents. Not only my mom and dad. This resulted in a strong sense of team thinking and referring more often to “We”  than “I” when it comes to initiatives and achievements.

The Twin Towers in NYC have been my inspiration for the direction of my life at the age of twelve. It is there that I realized I wanted to work in a fast-paced environment and someday live in the  Big Apple. From Rotterdam, to Paris, life has now brought me to Amsterdam. My fiancee and I live in the city center of Amsterdam, indulging daily in all the sensations this brings to our lives.

As a trainee, I have found my way within ABN AMRO holding various roles in the field of change management, marketing, strategy, and sales. Today I am responsible for 12 Retail branches in the South Holland.

Firm believer of the “Pay it forward” school of thought, I find myself at an age where I want to return my skills and experience to those of whom it may be of value. Currently, I am volunteering  at the VU Alzheimer Center by bringing a successful fundraising concept to the next level and acting as a member of the Board of the ‘Vrienden van het Concertgebouw’,  to safeguard and contribute to the sustainability of classical music.

At THNK I am hoping to learn how I can balance these two worlds and learn to ignite the sparks of innovation and change to my life, personally and professionally.
