Dr. Cohen is a clinician-educator in the Division of Endocrinology and Department of Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. From an academic standpoint, he is the Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine for Education, the Course Director for the Internal Medicine Sub-Internship, & the Chair of the Volunteer Appointments and Promotions Committee and the Grand Rounds Coordinator for the Department of Medicine.

In addition to working as an inpatient Hospitalist at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Dr. Cohen works as a general endocrinologist. His clinical interests include thyroid disease (hypo- and hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer) and gonadal disease, including male hypogonadism. He possesses an Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound and is the Director of the Thyroid Nodule and Biopsy Clinic.

He holds numerous clinical and educational leadership roles in the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), The Endocrine Society, and Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine.
