Damien Lowry completed his Bachelor of Science psychology degree in 2001 at Brown University, where he was also the Men’s Intervarsity Track team captain. He returned to Ireland in 2002 to complete a Masters of Science in Counselling Psychology at Trinity College Dublin. Since his graduation in 2004, Damien has worked at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in both clinical and research capacities, providing psychological input across a number of different departments including Neurology, Adult Psychiatry, Gastroenterology Chronic Pain and Hepatology.

He also completed his PhD in Neuropsychology through University College Dublin’s School of Psychology, winning the Deirdre McMackin Medal in 2011 for his contribution to Neuropsychological research in Ireland.

Damien has been involved with the Social Anxiety Program, founded by Odhrán McCarthy, since 2005, where he facilitates group meetings and related research activity.
