Biography
The Chartered Institute of Marketing
Claudy is Programme Leader of the BA (Hons) in Film at Bournemouth University, where she is also a faculty member of the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy and Management. Her practical background is in film preservation with a particular focus on IP issues to accessing archival collections. She has worked for specialist film lab Haghefilm; as a Film Restoration Project Leader at the Nederlands Filmmuseum, and as a senior research assistant in the film digitisation project DIASTOR at the Department of Film Studies at the University of Zurich. Her PhD research on orphan works was published by Amsterdam University Press in 2018, entitled The Greatest Films Never Seen. The Film Archive and the Copyright Smokescreen. Most recently, she was co-editor of A History of Intellectual Property in 50 Objects (Cambridge University press, 2019).
