Fordham University
Christine Toner, LCSW-R with over 25 years of experience working with youth, individuals and families.
Christine is a graduate of Boston University and Hunter College School of Social Work. She has post graduate training from Hunter College School of Social Work.
Christine’s clinical practice spans a variety of settings including: hospital based mental health clinics, community based organizations, child welfare agencies, substance abuse programs and community corrections.
She currently consults with child welfare agencies, community corrections, corrections, substance abuse programs and juvenile justice programs throughout the U.S. on a variety of evidenced-based practice models, including Motivational Interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral programming and coaching.
Christine enjoys both direct clinical practice and facilitating trainings and workshops to help organizations promote staff development to meet the ever changing needs of their client population.
Christine is a member of MINT (Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers) and is currently an adjunct professor at Fordham University School of Social Services in New York City.
