Jun Takazawa holds a PhD in International Relations and Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), and a Master in Comparative Ethnic Conflicts from Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland. Jun has been managing and advising executive education programmes for professionals from Missions, Governments, International Organizations, multinational corporations, and NGOs for over 4 years in Switzerland. Prior to entering the executive education sector, Jun worked as a research analyst in number of research centers in Japan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Northern Ireland, and the United States that focused on Conflict and Security Studies, Ethnic Conflict Management, Reconciliation, and Peace Development Policies. He also worked in the field as a research assistant and coordinator for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), which funded a Tourism Resources Improvement Project (TRIP) that focused on improving the provisions of professional and academic development services in resource development projects in Sri Lanka’s post-war recovery agenda following the end of the civil war.

One of Jun’s passions is to establish Mutual Learner-based pedagogies in resolving domestic and international conflicts & disputes through non-military means and making war “unthinkable” even as a last resort in international affairs.
