Biography

Betsy Laydon’s teaching and research interests focus on asset management and corporate finance. Her most recent research projects examine how institutional and legal structures constrain and enable behavior that governs interactions between managers and invest​ors in both the private equity and mutual fund industries. Laydon received her PhD in finance and MBA in finance and accounting from Indiana University, Bloomington, and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame. She previously worked as a senior financial analyst at Wrigley Co. and a consultant and analyst for Huron.
