Utilizing 3D lithography to replica mold extra-cellular matrix, and microfluidics to simulate blood flow-like flow, I am designing a unique way to co-culture human kidney filtration-barrier cells that would allow them to form structures with native tissue scale dimensions and environment; if successful, we will have the first living human kidney filtration units for testing drug safety and efficacy.​
