Avani Desai

Dr. Avani Desai has over 20 years of corporate and academic experience. She holds an MBA in Finance and a PhD in the area of Investor Relations (financial communication). She works as Professor and Dean, Business Administration at GLS University and as a Visiting Faculty at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, MICA and EDII. She is the Chairperson of GLS University’s Women’s Development Cell and the Managing Editor of GLS Voice.

She is on the Governing Body of the India Chapter of the International Association of Innovation Professionals. She is also the President of the Ahmedabad Book Club. She has coauthored the award-winning, best-selling book “Corporate Reputation Decoded”, which is the first on this subject in the Indian context, and has several international research publications to her credit. Her areas of research are investor relations, corporate reputation, financial literacy, valuation, and employability and entrepreneurship studies in undergraduate management education.
