New York Medical College is pleased to welcome Victor T. Madubuko as the new diversity and inclusion officer for the College. In this role, Mr. Madubuko will build on the foundation developed by the Committee on Diversity and Inclusion to develop and execute a targeted action plan for the School of Medicine that ensures the College is reaching, recruiting and retaining a diverse pool of faculty and staff candidates.
Mr. Madubuko brings a breadth of experience—both professional and personal—to this position. Since 2007, Mr. Madubuko has worked as an independent human resources consultant connecting talent and institutions, both nationally and internationally, with a particular focus on helping global companies develop and implement talent management strategy plans across Africa. Prior to that, he held human resources positions with Equinox Fitness Clubs, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Con Edison.
Mr. Madubuko was born in Nigeria, where he studied through high school before moving to Moscow to explore educational and entrepreneurial opportunities. Mr. Madubuko earned a bachelor of arts degree in international law at People’s Friendship University in Moscow and a master’s degree in Management at the Milano School of International Affairs, Management and Urban Policy at The New School University in New York.
