Valeria Alterman

Valeria Alterman joins the Miami Herbert Business School as an Assistant Professor of Management. She received her PhD from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida. Her research and teaching interests relate to organization's human resource management practices and their effects on employee attitudes and behaviors. Recognizing that the population is aging, most of her research focuses on how human resource practices can support the age-diverse workforce and continued participation of older workers. She also studies how organization’s compensation practices affect employees’ commitment levels.
