Biography

Vahid is an Associate Professor in Building Physics with the background of Mechanical Engineering, focusing on Energy Conversion and Fluid Dynamics. He was a postdoc at EPFL in Switzerland before starting his faculty position at Lund University in 2014. He also has an Adjunct position at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia, where he collaborates with the Institute for Future Environments (IFE). He leads/supervises projects about future urban energy systems and retrofitting buildings in Sweden and Switzerland. His research interests are impact assessment of climate change on buildings and infrastructures, urban energy systems, integrating renewable energy sources, energy and hygrothermal simulation of buildings, optimization and statistical analysis.
