Biography

My research focuses on social inclusion, practices and policies. It’s main aim is investigating the training needs of English for Academic Purposes Practitioners (EAP) when supporting students with learning differences (SpLDs). I have presented my research at conferences for London South Bank University, The University of Edinburgh, The University of Glasgow and The Society for Research in Higher Education.

My teaching experience includes supporting students from entry 3 to degree level on a range of programmes. This has included teacher training, apprenticeships, Academic English, Creative Writing, GSCE English Language and Literature, A-Level English, research techniques, quantitative and qualitative methodologies. I have also taught Foundation Degree Fashion, Foundation Degree Art & Design, Personal Development, science and technology. In doing, so I have also supervised students with quantitative and qualitative research methods for dissertations and final project accreditation.
