Tom Oser

Tom Oser, Ph.D., MBA: Consultant and speaker on Strategy, Execution and Leadership. He specializes in bridging the divide that exists between business functions, (but especially the one that exists between technology and almost all other business functions) focusing on solving business problems and executive development challenges across those divides.

Tom's point of view is based upon a pragmatic combination of business experience ranging world class consulting to global clines through "actually working for a living" by leading and executing client-side in corporate finance, technical operations and leading national sales organizations in both service and product industries. Currently, Tom leads a national sales team responsible for over $300 million in sales for a U.S. based manufacturer, and is an adjunct faculty teaching technology management strategy at the graduate level.

His success is based on getting things done by bridging the communications and execution gaps among diverse silos in organizations, typically between Information Technology and all other functions and business units. In speaking and consulting, he brings to life direct examples leadership, effective communication, and 'what gets measured gets done' performance management across functions and business units. He speaks from first hand experiences in technical operations, corporate leadership as well as from leading consulting engagements for clients from global organizations to venture start-ups.

He continues to speak and help clients to leverage technology to execute their strategies, bring a perspective built on a career including executive management, operational leadership and execution advisory services to world class consulting client across industries including: Telecommunications and Computing, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Media & Entertainment, and Professional Services Consulting.

A transplant from the east coast, he lives in Los Angeles and enjoys contributing to the pool of industry's rising technology savvy leaders by teaching as an adjunct faculty member at The University of Pennsylvania in its Executive Masters in Technology Management (Yes, it is a long commute.) He currently teaches IT Strategy using HBS case study method in this executive format graduate program.
