Thorsten Makowski

Dr Thorsten Makowski is one of the Managing Directors and founders of VALUENEER GmbH.

He possesses substantial international experience and has a track record of success in the management of large teams at high-profile management consultant firms, with particular expertise in the field of procurement and supply chain management.

After completing his degree course in physics at the RWTH Aachen, Thorsten Makowksi remained at Aachen to gain his doctorate in business management science.

Following his studies, he attended the GSBA Zurich and gained his MBA at the renowned Chicago Booth Business School.

Hereafter he participated in the General Management Program (GMP) at the Harvard Business School.

Following these activities, Thorsten Makowski was appointed as Director Procurement and Strategic Sourcing and Member of the Executive Board of ZLU Consulting and Management GmbH & Co. KG.

Before founding VALUENEER GmbH, Thorsten Makowski was PPV AG’s Director for Procurement and Co-Sourcing.

Dr Thorsten Makowski is in demand as a lecturer on procurement at the Mannheim Business School, the Cass Business School in London, the IIM Ahmedabad in India, the ESCP Europe, the EDHEC in Lille, the HHL Leipzig, the Nottingham Business School, the VSE in Prague, the EBS European Business School in Wiesbaden, the S P Jain Center of Global Management in Singapore and Dubai and the Lorange Institute in Zurich.
