Biography

Receiving a doctorate in sociology from the University of Notre Dame, her experience includes directing the education and outreach program for an NSF funded Physics Frontier Center at Notre Dame, including all of the program evaluation. She has also evaluated the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program sites at Notre Dame (physics), Stanford University (materials science) and IBM-Almaden, Research Experience for Teachers (RET) at Notre Dame (physics) and New York state. Past program evaluation experience also includes smaller grants and programs, for example an afterschool program for children, partially funded by NASA.

Her research experience beyond program evaluation is also extensive, including R&D for a large corporation doing patient and employee satisfaction survey work nationally. Dr. Coshow has also taught research, research methods and statistics, and foresight in undergraduate and graduate courses.
