Sunil Tiwari

Dr. Sunil Tiwari is an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management, in the Operation Management & Decision Science Department at ESSCA School of Management. He holds a PhD degree in Operations Research from the Department of Operational Research, University of Delhi, Delhi, India. Prior to joining ESSCA School of Management, he worked as a Senior Research Fellow & Research Fellow in the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering & Management, National University of Singapore (2019-21), and as a Research Fellow & Project Lead in The Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific, National University of Singapore (2017-19). He also worked as an Assistant Professor (Adjunct) in the Department of Mathematics, Ambedkar University, Delhi (2016-17).

During his tenure at the National University of Singapore, he led several industrial projects related to the optimization of Supply Chain & Logistics Operations, Healthcare Operations, Warehouse Operations, and E-commerce Logistics by proposing innovative and intelligent methods to enhance effectiveness and efficiency, which requires a large degree of stakeholder management and project management skills. Through his research and project works with various industries, he has established an effective relationship with different stakeholders and Researchers. This strong network has helped him to learn from many knowledgeable Professors and academicians across the world. He is fully capable of managing complex projects in which liaison with business, government, and industries are required.

His research revolves around the areas of Supply Chain & Inventory Management, Healthcare Operations, Warehouse Operations Analysis & Optimization, E-commerce Logistics, Simulation-Based Optimization. He has published more than 50 research papers in top peer-reviewed journals like International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, Computer and Operations Research, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Cleaner Production, International Transactions in Operational Research, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, European Journal of Industrial Engineering, and other journals.

As per SciVal’s record, he ranked #13 & #26 in Asia-Pacific and Worldwide, respectively, in the area of Supply Chain & Inventory Management (2017-20).
