Dr. Soumendu Biswas received his PhD degree in Organizational/Industrial Psychology from IIT Kharagpur. Before MDI Gurgaon, Dr. Biswas’ experience includes teaching Organizational Behaviour¸ Research Methodology¸ and Human Resource Management at the Xavier Institute of Social Services¸ Ranchi. Prior to joining IIT Kharagpur as a Research Scholar¸ he was associated with XLRI Jamshedpur as a Research Associate in the OB/HR Area.

Dr. Biswas has published articles in national and international journals. He has also presented papers in several international conferences such as the annual conference of the Academy of Management¸ the European Academy of Management¸ the Asian Academy of Management¸ the Australia-New Zealand Academy of Management¸ the American Society of Training and Development¸ the National Academy of Psychology¸ and the Indian Congress of Social Science Research.

Dr. Biswas is currently serving as the Area Lead – OBHR, MDI, Gurgaon after having served as the Associate Editor of VISION, The Journal of Business Perspective.

Teaching

Dr. Soumendu Biswas currently teaches courses both in the two-year post graduate programmes as well as the doctoral programmes at MDI Gurgaon. He currently teaches the following courses at MDI Gurgaon:

  • Human Resource Management (Core course)
  • Human Resource Analytics (Elective)
  • Advanced Multivariate Data Analysis (Elective)
